Description
Summary:The journal of islamic law (JIL) aims to bridge the gap between textual and contextual approaches and integrate the two in facing the challenges of changing laws and increasingly complex social institutions. The journal focuses on the issue of Islamic law and society in Muslim-majority countries with various approaches from normative, juridical, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, history, criminology, political sciences, psychology, and economics, and is intended to communicate the original research and current issues on the subject. However, in publishing, the novelty and timeliness of issues are the top priorities. This journal provides a forum for scholars, academics, researchers, and students interested in current issues of Islamic law and society in Muslim-majority countries.
