The Governor and Council, in accordance with the resolve of the ninth of April, eighteen hundred and fifty-six, respectfully report to the legislature, that the Hon. James Walker, the Land Agent, acting under their advice and direction, has solicited and set apart twenty-four half townships of public lands, for the benefit of common schools [electronic resource].
