Description
Item Description:Title from cover.
The Emirates Mars Mission (EMM) Hope probe was commissioned by the UAE in 2014 and launched from Japan on July 20, 2020. It is the UAE's first mission to Mars and the Arab world's first journey to another planet. After a 7-month journey the Hope probe entered the Martian orbit on February 9, 2021 and was scheduled to operate for one Martian year, or approximately two earth years. The atlas was created to provide a holistic view of Mars and images of the planet with the aim of documenting how Mars changes during the day and across seasons. "Our plan is to update this atlas periodically as more data for the probe becomes available."--Page 3.
