Weiser was irritated because he had a job for the group, but if they couldn't get themselves together, he would get someone else. The lone person, James Logan, said he would send for his brethren. When all were assembled, Weiser told them he wanted them to take a message to either the Cayugas or the Oneidas that the proprietor wanted to buy all the land to the western edge of the Penn grant. Following a previous agreement between Penn and the Six Nations, Penn always asked them first. Weiser gave the group a copy of the agreement, money for the journey, and told them who could earn what for helping. Certain areas would be reserved to the Nations and their associates. Weiser told them to be in Albany by the 13th or 14th of June. Weiser submitted his expense report [not present] to Peters; he had pre-paid everything listed.
