Through the use of a publicly available nationally representative longitudinal dataset, we conducted several analyses to see whether being a part of the military changed one's criminal behavior. These analyses included chi-square and t-tests as well as logistic regression models to assess for possible differences between those who were in the military and those who were not. The rationale for selecting these analyses is described.
