Summary:Joseph Rawson (1808-1891) was born in Mendon, Massachusetts, son of Colonel Warren and Mary Adams Rawson, and a descendant of Edward Rawson (1615-1693). He moved to Boston at age sixteen and to Cincinnati five years later. He married Mary Whiting Richards (1815-1894) in 1838. They had eight children, 1839-1858. He was the owner of Joseph Rawson & sons, a pork packing plant. Descendants listed lived in Ohio, Massachusetts, and elsewhere.
