New-Haven, March 11, 1774. At a meeting of the select-men in this town, on Monday last, the following petition signed by more than two hundred of the inhabitants of the town, was presented to them [microform] : To the select-men of the town of New-Haven. Gentlemen, We the subscribers, inhabitants of the town of New-Haven, considering the alarming situation this colony is involved in by laying claim to the Susquehannah lands, and extending their jurisdiction over the same.
