Particular attention was given to teachers' commitment to an affective approach to health education as a result of pre-program training in conjunction with exposure to the Inside/Out series. The responsive evaluation methodology consisted of exploratory visits, observations, open-ended and structured interviews, and surveys with teachers in 17 elementary schools in southern Indiana; results from each evaluation method are given. Most teachers agreed that Inside/Out is a useful classroom tool, effective in eliciting the expression of student-teacher feelings, and conducive to the teachers' personal growth. Questions meriting further study are included. (CMV)
