The Joint Committee on Railways and Canals, to whom were referred the petition of George Peabody and others, and of Thomas H. Perkins and others, for an Eastern Rail-road, and sundry memorials and remonstrances for and against said petitions, have given the subject a protracted investigation, and ask leave, on the petition of George Peabody and others, to report the accompanying bill [electronic resource].
